Code of Conduct and Expectations for the Greenmount West Community Center
Participants and guests are expected to be courteous to other users, staff, and volunteers and to follow the expectations (Be safe, Be respectful, and Be supportive), the policies and safety instructions outlined by Greenmount West Community Center hereafter known as GWCC. Guests or participants who engage in behavior or actions that might damage equipment or facilities, or pose a threat to the safety and well-being of themselves or others may lose their privileges. The staff of GWCC appreciate your cooperation in making our facility a friendly, welcoming, and positive environment for social, educational, and recreational opportunities.
These facility policies are for introductory purposes only and may be adjusted or changed as needed.
General Facility Policies
Smoking Policy: GWCC is a non-smoking facility, including 15ft outside of the building.
Drug Policy: GWCC is a drug free facility and any use of drugs will not be tolerated.
Bullying Policy: GWCC will not tolerate bullying and any issues that arise will be addressed.
Food and Drink Policy: Food and drink are permitted in designated areas only. Glass containers are prohibited except at special events.
Security Issues: We encourage our guests to bring only necessary items to GWCC. Leave valuables at home and be especially vigilant in providing for the security of your belongings. GWCC will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
ADA Compliance: Guests requiring assistance or special consideration for use of GWCC should contact a staff member.
Lending Library
Greenmount West Community Center has a thriving Lending Library with a great assortment of paperback novels, fiction, and non-fiction titles, encyclopedias, self-help books, cookbooks, children’s books and some movies on DVD. The library is on the “honor system’, which means you can borrow up to three anytime. Donate books or movies to keep this popular space going. We also like to receive puzzles, board games, etc.
Public Computers
The Computer/Conference room is now open for general use. Take an online class, surf the web for recipes ideas, do your homework, etc. No food or drink is allowed within the lab space.
